HOPE – The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council, in association with Hempstead Hall, will present one of the most unique, fresh musical sounds in the entertainment industry today in concert here Dec. 13 when the a cappella group “m-pact” brings it’s “White Christmas” holiday show to the University of Arkansas-Hope campus.

\r\nHonored for Best Jazz Album, Best Pop/R&B Song, Best Male Vocalist, and Best Vocal Arrangement by the CARA Awards and featured by Billboard Magazine as Best Unsigned Band, m-pact brings six singularly talented professional musicians together into a group hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “one of the best pop-jazz vocal groups in the world.”\r\n
\r\nWith a repertoire ranging across the spectrum of musical genres, m-pact takes the power of the human voice as the group’s primary instrument and turns it into vocal acrobatics, innovative orchestration and a commanding stage presence that has produced five full-length albums, two EP recordings, and singles releases which are the basis of concerts performed worldwide by the group.\r\n
\r\nPerformers Drew Tablak, soprano; Aaron Schumacher, alto; Andy Degan, tenor; Jeff Smith, beatbox/director; Jamond McCoy, baritone; and Tracy Robertson, bass, comprise a performance sextet with a renewed talent base which has remained true to group’s Music Pact (m-pact) past collaborations with superstars Sheryl Crow, Boyz II Men, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Bobby McFerrin, Natasha Bedingfield, the Woody Herman Orchestra and others for more than 20 years. The group is currently working on the sixth album to be released by m-pact.\r\n
