Students get photography lesson

Hope professional photographer Keith Powell offered students in Terri Hoglund’s business classes at Hope High School some hands-on instruction Thursday. Utilizing various settings to demonstrate the importance of lighting adjustment to good photography, Powell encouraged the students to experiment with digital camera, cell phone camera and iPad photography. Powell, whose studio will open soon, was a serious hobby photographer for a number of years prior to turning professional in 2012. He is also the father of two HHS students. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
