Which breakfast cereal has the most nutritional value to keep you going until lunch? Hint: It’s not the one in the front row. Yerger Middle School health classes took a tour of cereal boxes and other items on grocery store shelves in a Jan. 7 “Pop-Up Cooking Matters” presentation by Arkansas Children’s Hospital Outreach Specialist Charles Maxwell. The nutrition education program provides a hands-on perspective of food nutrition options as students learn how to budget for meals, read food packaging nutrition labels and shop for healthy foods.
