Valentine's Day guidelines

HOPE – Students and parents in the Hope Public School District planning to send a gift to their student or sweetie on campus on Valentine’s Day are reminded that guidelines will be in place regarding Valentine’s Day gifts.

Floral gifts sent to Hope High School will be accepted from 7:30-11:30 a.m. The student recipient’s full name and grade should be clearly written on the accompanying card. Balloons will not be accepted because they are not allowed on school buses.\r\n

Deliveries at the Hope Academy of Public Service may be made between 7-11 a.m. Deliveries must include the student recipient’s name, grade and advisory class teacher’s name. Large stuffed animals or balloons are not accepted.\r\n

Valentine’s Day deliveries to the Beryl Henry Elementary School campus should be on campus between 8 - 11 a.m., according to Principal Dr. Roy Turner. The student recipient’s name and homeroom teacher’s name should be clearly written on the accompanying card, Turner said. Balloons will not be allowed on school buses at BHE.\r\n

Deliveries at Clinton Primary School will be accepted from 8 -11 a.m. Gifts must be no larger than 18 inches tall, must not be breakable, and must be clearly marked with the student recipient’s name, teacher’s name, and grade. Gifts with balloons will not be allowed on school buses.\r\n
