Winners of the Mr./Miss Hope High School Pageant and Talent Show, sponsored by the HHS Student Council, were announced Saturday after an entertaining afternoon of song, skits and pageant poise. Beaming with excitement after the big moment, Miss HHS Lakin Hulett was joined on stage by Iliana Martinez, first runner-up, and Alanis Flores, second runner-up. Mr. HHS Phillip Knighton was also joined by Mario Valdez, first runner-up, and Matthew Tullos, second runner-up. Tullos and Sydney Watson were named People’s Choice winners. The talent competition was won by Judith Artis, who sang and performed a blues number on piano. First runner-up was Erounnia Hearon and second runner-up was Kelsey Reedy.
