Getting donations started

Hope Academy of Public Service EAST class students Cesar Marquez and Isaiha Crocker got things started with donations of three, five-gallon buckets of cleaning supplies and personal care items for the Refugio, Texas, Bobcats in the Bobcats Helping Bobcats relief effort for Hurricane Harvey victims. The two students pursued the donations themselves and received Windex cleaner, bar soap, a gallon of Mr. Clean, Scotch Brite scrub pads, Clorox wipes, economy sized shampoo, men’s deodorant, disposable kitchen gloves, women’s deodorant, and a half-gallon of dishwashing liquid. The project is being coordinated through the HAPS Student Council and donations will be accepted at each campus in the Hope Public School District until Sept. 30. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools, Photos by Kayla White/HAPS\r\n
