Reading Fair at CPS

Students at Clinton Primary School and Hope High School participated in a new academic competition this year that is literacy based. First through fourth grade students at CPS and ninth grade students at HHS chose a book to read and analyze in a “reading fair.” Judges at each campus were to select campus representatives to a regional competition in January at the Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative. Each student presented his or her analysis of the book in similar fashion to that of a science fair project, and was required to defend their analysis for the judges. Campus winners will compete at grade level against students from across the SWAEC service region on Jan. 24 at the cooperative’s facility on the University of Arkansas-Hope campus. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools\r\n
