HAPS EAST readies for conference

The Hope Academy of Public Service EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technology) Lab class has worked since the start of the academic year on some 16 separate projects, which will be featured in a presentation at the regional EAST conference in Hot Springs on March 12-15. EAST instructor Jacqueline Brady and HAPS Principal Dr. Carol Ann Duke brought parents and school patrons together recently for a preview of the HAPS projects and presentation. Students were quizzed about the background, workings, and results of their projects in similar fashion to that of the competition next week. EAST Program Coordinator of Site Support Rinda Hall, of Little Rock, praised the poise and depth of knowledge of the HAPS team. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools\r\n
