The Hempstead County selections for Daughters of the American Revolution, John Cain Chapter, Citizens of the Year were introduced Thursday. Elizabeth Bamber, Hope High School senior was among three honorees countywide. All three are senior students. Bamber intends to study veterinary technology at Arkansas State University-Beebe after graduation.. Bamber was also named Thursday as the recipient of the HHS Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadet of the Year, to be awarded May 9. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
