Crisis exercise set at HHS

HOPE – A multi-agency crisis exercise will be conducted on the Hope High School campus on Monday, Aug. 6, the Hope Police Department and Hope Public Schools announced today.\r\n

Participation in the “active” exercise will be limited to first response, law enforcement, and HPS personnel.\r\n

\r\n

The exercise is required by law and school policy to test the effectiveness of HPS crisis planning, and to provide crisis response training to first responders and law enforcement.\r\n

Classes will NOT be in session on the campus on Monday.\r\n

“We are grateful for the partnerships with all of our law enforcement agencies and first responders,” Hope Superintendent Bobby Hart said. “This joint exercise is just another example of our city’s commitment to excellence. We appreciate the work and dedication that our city puts into its relationship with our school system.\r\n “Thanks to Chief Wilson and City Manager Cook for their willingness to help our staff learn and prepare.”
