9-11 honored in Patriot's Day ceremony

The HHS AFJROTC unit observed a moment of silence ceremony honoring the victims and first responders who were affected by the Sept. 11, 2001, World Trade Centers tragedy; and, the military veterans who have served in the Middle East as a result. The Patriot's Day mass formation included rendering of proper customs and courtesies as a color guard detail commanded by Cadet Lisabeth Carillo presented the U.S. Flag. Honors were awarded to cadets Britney Alverado, Alaysia Lewis, Alan Martinez and Joshua Johnson for completing the Cadet Leadership School, ROTC Cadet Leadership Class, at Grambling State University in June. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools\r\n
