HOPE SCHOOL ON LOCKDOWN

Hope Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Bobby Hart this morning ordered a lockdown of all Hope Public Schools campuses based upon a report of an active shooter at large in the area. Hart immediately notified all campuses and ordered school principals to lock down their buildings until further notice.

"We were notified at 9:35 a.m. by HPD of an active shooter incident in the Prescott School District," Hart said. "While there is no imminent threat to HPS, as precaution we have locked down our entire district. We will communicate an all clear as soon as we are given an all clear."

Hart said all HPS students are safeguarded.

"All students currently on Hope Public Schools campuses are being safeguarded at this time,
he said. "We cannot respond directly to your inquiries at this time. An official statement may be made by district administration or law enforcement at a later time. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time."
