stem fair 2024 recap

Hope Public Schools Magnet Program held their first Science and STEAM Showcase at Hempstead Hall on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Students in grades 4-8 created projects for the Science Fair and were judged on their presentations. In addition to the Science Fair, Hope High School students with the Botcats Robotics program held demonstrations while other students took part in playing games developed by fellow Bobcats! Also featured were the 13-year old CEO of STEM-IT, a STEM education startup, Siddarth Nandyala - who was recently named as a National STEM Challenge Champion. The Museum of Discovery provided interactive demonstrations including a "Tornado in a Bottle" and focusing the power of air by hitting a membrane-covered end of a trash can as the escaping air focused through a hole in the bottom of the can.
