The Educator Hall of Fame recognizes retired educators who made a lasting impact on students, families, schools, and the Hope community. Nominees must be retired and have worked at least 10 years with Hope Public Schools. Community members, alumni, former students, staff, and families are invited to submit nominations. The district encourages the community to share stories of educators who made a meaningful difference through their service, leadership, dedication, character, and commitment to student success. The calendar includes important dates for families, students, and staff, including professional development days, teacher work days, Open House, the first day of classes, holiday breaks, early dismissal days, parent-teacher conferences, semester exam schedules, grading periods, and report card timelines. Hope Public Schools is proud to recognize 16 Hope High School students who have earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy for Spring 2026. This honor is awarded to students who demonstrate proficiency in English and at least one additional language. All 16 students earned the Seal in Spanish, showcasing their dedication to academic excellence and multilingual achievement. Statewide, 1,450 students earned this recognition across 90 schools and 37 languages, reflecting the growing importance of biliteracy in education and the workforce. The Hope BotCats are making moves on the state and regional stage 🤖🔥 After setting ambitious goals for the 2025–2026 season, our robotics team delivered in a big way—competing across Arkansas and beyond while earning multiple awards and top finishes. In the BEST Robotics Competition in Pine Bluff, the BotCats brought home: • 1st Place – Marketing • 2nd Place – Engineering Notebook • 2nd Place – Robot Performance • 3rd Place – Exhibit & Interview • 2nd Place Overall in the State That performance advanced them to the BEST Southeast Regional Competition in Huntsville, Alabama, where they proudly represented Hope on a larger stage. The momentum continued this spring at the FIRST Robotics Competition in Searcy, where the BotCats competed against top teams across the region. After qualifying rounds, their alliance fought through the bracket and finished 1st overall in the finals. From problem-solving to teamwork, these students are gaining real-world skills that go far beyond the classroom. This is innovation. This is collaboration. SCHOOL RESUMES — MONDAY, February 2, 2026 Hope Public Schools will resume classes tomorrow, Monday, February 2, 2026. While conditions have improved across much of the district, some rural and countryside areas may still have ice. Our teams will continue monitoring those areas closely. District crews have been working across all campuses to remove thick layers of ice from bus lines, car lines, and parking lots in preparation for students and staff returning. If there are safety concerns in your area and you feel you cannot safely get your student to school, please contact your individual campus directly. We encourage everyone to: Use caution while traveling Take your time and avoid rushing Expect buses to run slightly later than normal as drivers operate at slower speeds Drive slowly and carefully when dropping off students Our overall message is simple: be safe and arrive safely. We will continue monitoring conditions and will provide updates across all platforms.

WEATHER UPDATE — NO SCHOOL THURSDAY, January 29, 2026 Due to continued winter weather and unsafe road conditions, Hope Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The safety of our students, staff, families, and community remains our top priority. District teams are actively clearing ice from campus bus circles and car lines; however, many side roads remain unsafe, and there is still a thick layer of ice on several main roads. Once temperatures drop, these areas are expected to refreeze, creating additional safety concerns for buses, student drivers, families, and staff. We will continue monitoring conditions for Friday, January 30, and will keep everyone informed across all platforms. We encourage families to stay safe and limit travel when possible
