September Mental Health Series Offers Resources for HPS Families Hope Public Schools families are invited to take advantage of the September 2026 Mental Health Series offered through ParentGuidance.org. Throughout the month, families can participate in virtual, live sessions focused on topics that can help parents and caregivers navigate challenges affecting children and families. Most sessions are offered at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. CT, allowing families to select the time that works best for them. September topics include: Suicide prevention Building your child's confidence Bullying prevention Supporting your child's mental health Supporting children after trauma The opioid crisis Recognizing child abuse Video game addiction Parenting through anxiety and depression Depression Motivating your child School avoidance Navigating divorce with children Replacing negative emotions Special sessions during the month include the Watch Together Series at 7:00 p.m. on September 9 and Ask a Therapist Live at 7:00 p.m. on September 29. Spanish-Language Sessions Available ParentGuidance.org is also offering Spanish-language mental health sessions during September. Hope Public Schools is preparing to welcome the next cohort of its Aspiring Leaders program, continuing the district’s commitment to developing and supporting future leaders from within the organization. As preparations begin for the upcoming cohort, HPS is taking a look back at Aspiring Leaders Cohort 2 and some of the experiences shared throughout their time in the program. Aspiring Leaders gives district employees opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, gain a broader understanding of district operations, collaborate with colleagues from across Hope Public Schools, and prepare for future opportunities to serve students, staff, and the community in leadership roles. Throughout the program, Cohort 2 participated in opportunities designed to encourage professional growth, meaningful discussion, relationship-building, and a deeper understanding of leadership within a school district. The accompanying photos highlight just a few of the moments from Cohort 2 as participants learned, connected, and grew together. Hope Public Schools looks forward to building on the success of Cohort 2 and continuing to invest in employees who are interested in expanding their leadership capacity and making a positive impact throughout the district. The Educator Hall of Fame recognizes retired educators who made a lasting impact on students, families, schools, and the Hope community. Nominees must be retired and have worked at least 10 years with Hope Public Schools. Community members, alumni, former students, staff, and families are invited to submit nominations. The district encourages the community to share stories of educators who made a meaningful difference through their service, leadership, dedication, character, and commitment to student success.
