HOPE – The Hope Academy of Public Service intends to “scare up” some fun as it hosts the Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Community Coffee on campus Oct. 27.

The 9:30-11 a.m. “Eat, Drink and Be Scary” event will be centered in the HAPS cafeteria and social distancing and mask usage will be encouraged.

“We will reveal the makeover of our band hall with Super Band composites and the fall plantings in Denny’s Place,” HAPS Principal Dr. Carol Ann Duke said.

Dr. Duke said costumes are “encouraged.”

“Please feel free to drop by,” she said. “We wil be in the cafeteria, the ‘back yard’ near the garden and the Farmers Bank and Trust tent, where there will be a performance by our band students.”
