HOPE – Hope Public Schools campus plans for Alternative Method of Instruction days during the mandatory closure of all public schools in Arkansas will be developed during the Spring Break week this week.\r\n
\r\nStudents in the HPS are not in classes March 23-27 because of the annual Spring Break holiday, and will not return to classes until April 20 under the order of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. AMI days will not be counted during Spring Break, but will resume on March 30.\r\n
\r\nTeachers and administrators across the district will develop student packets for additional AMI days as a result of the extended closure after March 30.\r\n
\r\nBeryl Henry Elementary School students may tentatively pick up packets at the BHE campus from 10 a.m. through noon on March 30, according to BHE Principal Dr. Roy Turner.\r\n
\r\n“Parents who have a child that did not attend school on March 16 will need to pick up AMI packets and other instructional materials,” Dr. Turner said. “Parents who have a child that attended school on March 16 will need to pick up additional instructional information for their AMI packets.”\r\n
\r\nStudents will be given access to myOn, Moby Max, Google Classroom, Freckle, Nitro Type, and other software which can be used to complete assignments during the closure.\r\n
\r\nTurner said printed materials and other information will be available at the drive around in front of the main office entrance at BHE.\r\n
\r\nInformation will be announced for other campuses as soon as a comprehensive plan for the closure period is developed during Spring Break.\r\n
