Act 1039 of 2017 Reporting by Hope School District

#1. Dyslexia Program used in the school district:

During the 2022-2023 school year, the Hope School District primarily  used the Take Flight Intervention. Take Flight Is a comprehensive intervention for students with dyslexia written by the staff of the Luke Waites Child Development Center of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for children. 

We also used the Phonics First, Brainspring intervention for students with characteristics of dyslexia.

We also used the Sonday program for grade level appropriate students.

#2. Number of Students Who Received Dyslexia Intervention

During the 2022-2023 school year 290 students attending Hope School District received dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.

#3 Total Number of Students exhibiting the Characteristics of Dyslexia

During the 2022-2023 school year 322 students were enrolled in the Hope School District as exhibiting characteristics of dyslexia.
