Act 1039 of 2017 Reporting by Hope School District

#1. Dyslexia Program used in the school district:

Take Flight Intervention. Take Flight Is a comprehensive intervention for students with dyslexia written by the staff of the Luke Waites Chilld Development Center of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for children. Phonics First, Brainspring intervention for students with characteristics of dyslexia.

Connections OG IN 3D by the AppleGroup was used for early beginning students.

BUILD: The "BUILD: A K-1 Early Reading Intervention" program, developed
by Scottish Rite for Children , is a 100-lesson reading intervention designed for kindergarten and first-grade students who are at risk for or have dyslexia.

JET: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention is an evidence-based dyslexia intervention program specifically designed for students aged fourteen and older who have been identified with dyslexia.

#2. Number of Students Who Received Dyslexia Intervention

During the 2024-2025 school year 198 students attending Hope School District received dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.

#3 Total Number of Students exhibiting the Characteristics of Dyslexia

During the 2023-2024 school year 320 students were enrolled in the Hope School District as exhibiting characteristics of dyslexia.
