We are proud to celebrate a major milestone for Hope Public Schools.

Three of our campuses — Clinton Primary, Beryl Henry Elementary, and Yerger Middle School — have been recognized as Capturing Kids’ Hearts Rising Star Schools.

Because of this achievement, Hope Public Schools has also been named a Capturing Kids’ Hearts Rising Star District.

This recognition honors schools in their first year of implementation that are building strong, relationship-driven cultures focused on emotional safety, connection, and student success. Through intentional practices like daily greetings, relationship-building, and positive classroom environments, these campuses are creating spaces where students feel supported and ready to learn.

“My goal for HPS with Capturing Kids’ Hearts has always been rooted in relationships — building, creating, and sustaining relationships that go beyond teaching and learning and truly get to the core of student success — academically, avocationally, behaviorally, and vocationally,” said Dr. Carol Duke, Director of Magnet Programs.

“The fact that, in this first year of implementation, these campuses have impacted their culture with the simple actions that CKH aspires to become daily practices proves the committed nature that all adults have regarding our students and their futures. For many of our students, the adults they interact with daily are critical to their well-being, and CKH has helped us all hone the skills to support creative learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and connected to each other, the adults, and the world in which they learn daily.”

This is a reflection of the work happening across our district. We are building something meaningful together.

The work does not stop here. This is the foundation. Our next goal is clear: becoming a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase District.

We celebrate this moment, and we continue moving forward.
