WEATHER UPDATE — NO SCHOOL TUESDAY, January 27, 2026
Due to continued hazardous winter conditions, including ice and freezing temperatures, Hope Public Schools will remain closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Road conditions and low temperatures continue to impact safe travel. The safety of our students, staff, families, and community remains our top priority.
We will continue monitoring conditions and will keep families informed through these same communication channels regarding our next instructional day.
Please stay safe, limit travel when possible, and take precautions during freezing conditions.

Hope Public Schools is notifying parents/guardians that folders for the Special Education and 504 students who graduated in May 2021 will be destroyed on August 21, 2026.
Parents/guardians who would like to request their child’s folder should contact Lynn Kimbell at 870-722-2700 ext. 22 before that date.
Hope Public Schools is inviting the community to submit nominations for the Educator Hall of Fame 2026.
This recognition is for retired educators whose service, leadership, dedication, and influence left a lasting mark on students and the district.
If you know an educator who deserves to be honored, submit a nomination today.

Cross country practice for students in grades 9–12 begins today, July 20, at 9:00 a.m.
Students should meet at the track behind the indoor facility. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Hope Public Schools Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Location: Admin Building on 6th street
Community members are welcome to attend.
Every student remembers the educator who believed in them, encouraged them, challenged them, or helped them see what was possible.
Hope Public Schools is accepting nominations for the Educator Hall of Fame 2026.
Nominees must be retired and have worked at least 10 years with Hope Public Schools.

Hope Public Schools will host its annual Bus Driver In-Service on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Beryl Henry Elementary

🕐 Time:
Rhonda Still, Arkansas Department of Education, will begin the Bus Driver In-Service at 1:00 p.m.
This state-required annual training is required for all Hope Public Schools CDL bus drivers. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to allow time for check-in.
Area school district bus drivers are also welcome to attend and are encouraged to join us for this valuable training opportunity.
We look forward to seeing everyone as we prepare for a safe and successful 2026–2027 school year!

Hope Public Schools families are invited to explore ParentGuidance.org’s July Mental Health Series. These free virtual sessions cover important parenting topics including ADHD, suicide prevention, screen time and mental health, school avoidance, anxiety, depression, confidence, trauma support, and more.
Sessions are offered throughout July, with start times at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM CT. Families may join as many sessions as they would like.

Hope Public Schools congratulates J’Kari Gulley on being recognized by Arkansas Boys State for an achievement during Summer 2026.
We are proud to celebrate J’Kari’s hard work, leadership, and representation of Hope Public Schools.
Hope Public Schools reminds families that free summer meals are available for all kids 18 and under during June and July 2026, Monday through Friday.
Meals include breakfast and lunch and are available at the following sites:
Fair Park — 11:30 AM–12:00 PM
Calvary — 12:15 PM–12:45 PM
Yerger Bus Line — 11:30 AM–12:00 PM
Terry Powell’s Grocery — 12:15 PM–12:45 PM
Hope High School — 11:00 AM, dine-in or pick-up
