The Hope High School Student Council-sponsored blood drive conducted Nov. 6 has qualified for the award of a $500 or $750 scholarship to an HHS student from LifeShare Blood Center in Texarkana. Student Council sponsor Sheila Hopson said the event resulted in 56 units of blood donated, which surpassed the HHS goal of 52 units. Hopson said several HHS students should be qualified in the scholarship selection, which will be announced at a later date. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
