Hope Public Schools is proud to introduce the Faces of the 2026 Educator Hall of Fame, six educators whose years of service, leadership, and dedication have left a lasting mark on our schools and community.
The 2026 inductees are Frances Hendrix, Steve Bradshaw, Annie Catherine Lloyd, Nancy Bradford, Julie Cochran, and Don Sullivan.
Their careers span classrooms, campuses, and leadership roles throughout Hope Public Schools. Although their individual journeys are different, each contributed to the same mission: educating, encouraging, and preparing generations of students.
Frances Hendrix
Frances Hendrix served students as a science educator at Hope High School. Her work in the classroom contributed to the education of generations of Hope students and represents the dedication to teaching recognized by the Educator Hall of Fame.
Steve Bradshaw
Steve Bradshaw devoted 37 years to Hope Public Schools. He began his career in 1980 as a fifth-grade teacher at Beryl Henry Elementary School and went on to serve the district in numerous capacities, ultimately serving as Assistant Superintendent for Transportation and Facilities. His career touched nearly every aspect of district operations.
Annie Lloyd
Annie Lloyd served as a Family and Consumer Science educator, helping students develop knowledge and practical skills they could carry from the classroom into everyday life. Her service represents the lasting influence educators can have well beyond graduation.
Nancy Bradford
Nancy Bradford dedicated decades of service to students at Yerger Middle School. Known for her passion for students and education, Bradford was recognized for going beyond expectations to develop curriculum and learning materials that helped students succeed.
Julie Cochran
Julie Cochran is being inducted posthumously after a career that included more than 40 years of service in education in Hope. She is remembered for her long-standing dedication to students and the profession she served for decades.
Don Sillavan
Don Sullivan is also being honored posthumously. Sullivan served as a math teacher at Hope High School and was remembered by district leaders as an excellent educator whose work made an impact on generations of students.
Join Us in Celebrating
Hope Public Schools is deeply grateful for the service these educators gave to our district. Their influence can be seen in the students they taught, the colleagues they worked alongside, and the community they helped strengthen.
The community is invited to join Hope Public Schools for the 2026 Educator Hall of Fame Reception on Friday, September 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Hempstead Hall.
We encourage former students, colleagues, families, staff, and community members to be part of this momentous occasion as we celebrate six educators who helped shape Hope Public Schools.
