Hope Public Schools: “WE embrace our stories.” Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15–October 15. Honoring Hispanic and Latino histories, cultures, and contributions. Red, black, and blush book pages and speech bubbles on cream. #WEEMBRACE.

Hispanic Heritage Month, observed September 15–October 15, is an opportunity to recognize the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. At Hope Public Schools, it connects with a message at the heart of our WE Embrace campaign: every member of our school community brings stories and perspectives that deserve to be valued.

Hispanic and Latino heritage encompasses many countries, cultures, and traditions. Exploring that diversity helps us deepen our understanding of one another and recognize contributions across literature, science, education, the arts, public service, and everyday community life.

Our Hispanic and Latino students, families, and staff help shape the Hope Public Schools community. We celebrate the experiences, talents, and perspectives they bring to our schools and the connections we build through learning together.

Families can take part by reading a book by a Hispanic or Latino author, exploring a historical figure’s contributions, or sharing a family story or tradition. These conversations offer meaningful ways to learn across generations and discover something new.

The spirit of WE Embrace extends beyond a single month. Listening with respect, welcoming different perspectives, and making room for one another’s stories are ways we strengthen our community throughout the year.

WE embrace our stories. WE embrace our community.
