Collegiate academy parent meeting set

Parents of rising 10th grade students who intend to attend the Hope Collegiate Academy in the 2019-2020 academic year will be given information regarding the HCA in a public meeting March 4.

The 6 p.m. meeting is set for the auditorium of the Rapert Library Complex on the Hope campus of the University of Arkansas Hope -Texarkana where the HCA is housed.

Information concerning HCA eligibility requirements, student and parent expectations, and the applications process and relevant dates will be discussed.

Rising 10th grade students should submit applications by April 1. The program is free of charge and open to students enrolled in the Hope Public Schools or eligible for enrollment in the HPS as a condition of attending the collegiate academy.

All applicants will be required to meet HCA entrance requirements to attend and must submit an HCA application and applicable college entrance scores. HCA students undertake a three-year curriculum taught by UAHT faculty designed to complete a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously.

Digital applications are available at http://www.uacch.edu/collegiate-academy/ online.

The HCA is a partnership of the Hope Public Schools and the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana.
