Employees, faculty and administration of the Hope Public School District participated in a wellness initiative last week through the Wadley Scan mobile service of Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana. Coordinating the heart healthy scans and other testing for the HPSD were, left to right, Marcia Widel, RN, District Nurse Renee Sells, RN, Geri Maxfield, LPN, and Glenda Newton, RN. Wadley medical staff conducting the testing included, left to right, Cynthia Noble, ultrasound technician, Theresa Davis, MA, and Christine Keener, MA. Sells said this was the fourth year for the district to participate in the wellness initiative, with all four campuses participating and 85 individual scans and tests performed. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
