Ms. Green's 5th grade classes took engagement to another level the last two weeks. The students have been studying the continent of Africa and to enhance their learning, they made 3D climate and vegetation maps of the continent. They used molding clay to sculpt the continent, then painted it based on the climate/vegetation for the area.
Some of the molds will be on display this Thursday at Hempstead Hall as part of the African American Extravaganza. The students are excited to have similar activities in the future.

Hosea Born shares the latest about the HopeBots Middle School Robotics Team: The HopeBots hosted the Hope Robot Rendezvous tournament this past weekend. There were 19 teams from five schools that showed off their robots and skills they have been working on all year. The tournament even produced the top scores out of all Arkansas teams with El Dorado taking home the Teamwork Championship.
It wouldn’t have been a success without all our students who volunteered, each parent who contributed to the tournament, and our fantastic judging team! A special thanks to BHE for letting us use their cafeteria and classrooms for our event. We can’t wait to keep growing our program and bring more competitions to Hope!
