
Our 5th & 6th grade Basketball team



The BHE Book Club convened December 10th after school in the library . The goal of the after school Book Club is to encourage reading and literary discussion in a safe, fun and creative manner. The club will meet at least once a month supported by use of Grade 6 ELA Common Core Standards. For additional information please contact Mrs. Rhone. Ms. Collins, 5th grade class has been studying engineering and technology. They have created bridges and towers using the design process.

BHE 5th grade Art students participated in a Drug Free art contest through SWARK Today during Red Ribbon Week. The overall winner was Kaitlyn Toliver. Kaitlyn won an 8" Android tablet. 1st place winner was Inez Waters. She received $15 in Hope Bucks. Our 2nd place winner was Harmony Eason and she received $10 Hope Bucks. Congratulations to these young ladies.


Bobcat Clinic will not have a medical provider Dec. 16 until 11:30 a.m. Immunizations still available 7:30-11 a.m. No change to behavioral health services that date.

Our Project Prevent Club read "Smoking Stinks" to the 5th grade classes this month. They did a great job teaching about the dangers of tobacco.




Mrs. Mary Overton has worked with the 6th grade students on Ancient Greek Pottery and Greek culture. Students designed their own pottery, and they are on display on the6th grade hall. Mrs. Overton is an Artist in Residency and enjoys working at BHE. Our students always enjoy her being with us.
