🌟 Honoring One of Our Own! 🌟

We are proud to celebrate former State Senator Linda Pondexter Chesterfield, a Hope, Arkansas native, who has been announced as part of the 2025 Arkansas Black Hall of Fame induction class.

Senator Chesterfield’s legacy is one of firsts — she was the first African-American graduate of Hendrix College and went on to serve with distinction in both the Arkansas House and Senate. She has been a fierce advocate for policies that will impact our state for generations to come.

She called this honor “a singular moment” in her career, and we couldn’t agree more. Congratulations, Senator Chesterfield — your hometown of Hope is proud! đŸ’™đŸŸ
