black history in hps

Hope Public Schools has a rich history of students who have come through our district as students and/or who have helped our students while working for the district. As Black History Month comes to a close, we take a moment to celebrate those students, educators, employees, and community members who have been a part of the Bobcat and Yerger School legacy.

Black History in Hope Public Schools is represented through athletes, doctors, judges, educators, statesmen, public officials, students, parents, and community members.

The individuals pictured were submitted by employees of Hope Public Schools for inclusion in this tribute. We know this gallery of images barely scratches the surface. We honor and thank each of those who has lived, loved, and contributed their lives as part of the Hope Public School family.

Photos supplied by staff, family members of those represented, and/or through district postings/web searches. #GoBobcats #ALLIN
