HOPE – The Hope Public Schools, in partnership with Express Rx of Hope, will host a Pfizer 5-11 year-old COVID-19 vaccination clinic on the Clinton Primary School campus Friday, Nov. 12.
\r\nHPS Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Crossley explained the decision to offer the vaccine.\r\n
\r\n“The vaccination is totally voluntary,” Dr. Crossley said. “We are only providing opportunities for parents and students to have access to the vaccine. While there is no vaccination requirement in the Hope Public Schools, vaccination has been proven to be a method to limit the spread and severity of COVID-19.”\r\n
\r\nThe CPS clinic will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and parents are welcome to accompany their child, but are not required to be present. However, parents are required to complete and sign a vaccination consent form that will be provided.\r\n
\r\nThe vaccine will be provided to students ages 5-11 years free of charge, but parents should provide an insurance card or Medicaid number if applicable.\r\n
\r\nParents and students attending the clinic should wear a mask in the CPS building.\r\n
\r\nThe second dose of the two-dose regimen of Pfizer vaccine will be available at CPS on Friday, Dec. 3.\r\n
\r\nCrossley, Express Rx Pharmacist Dr. Laura Beth Martin and HPS nurses will be on site to answer questions.\r\n
