From Shannon Hawthorne: "Ava Hawthorne, a junior at Hope High, competed at the Special Olympics of Arkansas state level competition on December 5th. She recently became part of Rainbow of Challenges’ King Pins bowling team. Her team came home with a gold medal in their category!"

Mrs. Flowers (one of the district's Magnet Coordinators) just delivered the industry-level equipment that the students will be using as they progress through the new CTE program. Thanks to the Magnet Grant, the Media classes have received new cameras, tripods, computers, and other technology that is eventually going to be a part of the broadcasting studio at Hope High School. The kids are super excited to start working with their new equipment next semester!"

All magnet clubs on all campuses have ended for the semester and students need to resume normal transportation on Monday and Tuesday starting December 4th. All magnet clubs will resume next semester on January 22, 2024.

We’re collecting non-perishable food items and other necessities for transitional students and their families in Hope Public Schools. Transitional families are those who are between housing locations and/or who may be suffering from a lack of permanent accommodations.
Bring your items to ANY campus and drop them off at the campus main office.
On December 8, Hope Public Schools will take all the donations and STUFF THE BUS! Let’s fill a busload of supplies for our students and families!
Items needed include:
Canned Items: Meat, Fish, Soup, Vegetables, Fruit
Toiletry Items: Laundry Detergent, Shampoo, Conditioner, Bar Soap, Deodorant, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Q-Tips, Shave Cream, Disposable, Razors
Pantry Items: Dry Beans, Rice, Pasta, Instant Mashed Potatoes, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Cereal, Instant Oatmeal, Nuts, Crackers, Bottled Water (Plastic), Juice Boxes, Powdered Milk, Instant Coffee, Snack Bars
NOTE: Please do NOT donate glass or single-serve items.
