Our Very Own Jair Arroyo Makes HPS History

Hope Public Schools is proud to celebrate our very own Jair Arroyo, who has become the first student from Hope Public Schools to receive the Billy Michal Student Leadership Award.

Jair represented Hope Public Schools and the State of Arkansas at the American Spirit Awards in New Orleans, carrying with him the values of leadership, service, and excellence that define what it means to be a Hope Bobcat.

This achievement reflects Jair’s hard work, character, and commitment to growth. It also reflects the support of the teachers, administrators, mentors, staff, and school board members who continue to invest in student leadership across our district.

Jair shared his gratitude for the encouragement and opportunities he has received throughout his time at Hope Public Schools and expressed his hope to continue making HPS proud while inspiring future students to pursue leadership and service.

Congratulations, Jair. Hope Public Schools is proud of you.

Hope High School Ag students are gaining hands-on experience with industry-relevant equipment!

The Hope Ag Department would like to thank the Magnet Grant for helping purchase a Miller Multimatic 235 welding machine. This equipment gives students the opportunity to practice MIG welding and build skills used throughout the industrial workforce.

Experiences like this help prepare our students for their next steps, whether that is college, career training, or entering the workforce.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and prepare for the future.

Hope Bands Make History! 🎶🏆

Hope Public Schools is proud to celebrate a historic achievement by the Hope High School Symphonic Band!

On Thursday, April 16, the band traveled to Searcy, Arkansas, to compete in the ASBOA State Concert Assessment alongside top 5A schools from across the state. Through their dedication and hard work, these talented students earned 6th place in the state for Class 5A.

In addition, the band received a State Sweepstakes Award—an honor reserved for programs that earn superior ratings in both marching and concert performance.

This marks the first time in school history that Hope Public Schools has received this prestigious recognition.

Please join us in congratulating these outstanding students and directors on an incredible accomplishment!
