HOPE – A cutting-edge early learning software focused on reading, math and science at the pre-kindergarten through second grade level has been made available to the Hope Public Schools free of charge during the closure of public schools in Arkansas created by the COVID-19 illness.\r\n
\r\nWaterford.org and HPS Superintendent Dr. Bobby Hart announced the collaborative effort which will benefit HPS students who are at home during the two-week closure period set by Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.\r\n
\r\n“This is a tremendous opportunity provided to our students and families,” Dr. Hart said. “Waterford has a proven track record of success, and we are excited to partner with them to improve literacy levels in our PreK-2 levels.”\r\nThe live link to the software is available on the website bulletin board both for the Hope Public Schools and Clinton Primary School. Otherwise, the software may be accessed at https://forms.gle/dbtMX3TfRecL65AY8 online.\r\n
\r\nParents are asked to provide an email address for their family or student(s) for home access to the program. The material is available for all Clinton Primary students through second grade.\r\n
\r\nHart expressed the district’s thanks to the company.\r\n
\r\n“Thank you to Jodi Sohrt, director of school relations, and Trevor Kerr, vice president of school relations, for Waterford for providing this opportunity for our students,” Hart said.\r\n
\r\nArkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson said in his daily briefing Wednesday he still intends for Arkansas public schools to resume classes on March 30.\r\n
