HOPE – The academic year calendar for the 2022-2023 school year in the Hope Public Schools opens in mid-August with Open House on Aug. 11 and the first day of classes on Aug. 15.
Two parent-teacher conference days have been scheduled including Oct. 13 and March 16 with no classes in session Oct. 14 or March 17.
Teachers report to campuses beginning Aug. 1 for professional development days prior to the start of school through Aug. 10 and the final day of classes for the year is set for May 26.
Inclement weather days have been set for May 29-June 2, if needed to maintain the required 178 days of class instruction. Early-out days will be scheduled around semester exam days on Dec. 14-15 and May 24-25.
The holiday schedule for the 2022-2023 school year includes:
Labor Day – Sept. 5.
Thanksgiving break – Nov. 21-25.
Christmas/New Year break – Dec. 19-Jan. 1.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Jan. 16.
President’s Day – Feb. 20.
Spring Break – March 20-26.
Easter Good Friday – April 7.
The calendar was adopted March 14 by the Hope Public Schools Board of Education.
