Congratulations to HAPS!! Today, at a ceremony held at Southern Arkansas University, the Hope Academy of Public Service received an excellence award from the SAU-based Education Renewal Zone for earning a "B" rating on the state report card! The award was presented by ERZ Director Dr. Roger Guevara and Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative Director Phoebe Bailey. In attendance to accept the award were HAPS Principal Marilyn Marks, EL Director Cari Winemiller, and School Improvement Coordinator Carla Narlesky.

A special called board meeting will take place at 1pm on Thursday, February 29, in the Boardroom at the Administration Building. The public is invited to attend.
The only item on the agenda is the 2024-2025 School Year Calendar. The board will take action.


Join the Ladycats Softball Team in honoring Jamie Godwin on Friday, March 1, during the softball game against Prescott. The game will be at the Ladycat Field in Hope and the game starts at 4:30pm.

The HopeBots have worked hard this year and improved their state rankings at their final regular tournament this weekend. "The Amigos" brought home the Teamwork Championship after working with a team from Bethel Middle School earning them a qualification.
Teams "Lil Rascals", "Lil Sunflowers", and "Toasters 2.0" improved their state rank to all be Top 25 earning them an invitation to the State Championship! "Ghostface" & "Pinkalicious" had previously qualified to State!
In all, SIX of our HopeBot teams will be traveling to Russellville on March 10th for the final competition in Arkansas and for their chance to qualify for the World Robotics Championship! We are so proud of ALL the competitors this year who gave it their best and represented Hope with pride. If you see them around congratulate them on their hard work! Hosea Born shares great news for the HopeBots Robotics students: Team Ghostface consisting of Aracely Garcia, Sophia Finigan, Samuel Fellows & Johnny Paredes has qualified for the Arkansas Middle School Robotics Championship! Their performance at the Murfreesboro tournament landed them in 3rd place out of 29 teams, earning them an overall ranking of 8th out of 110+ teams in Arkansas!
HopeBot teams will continue to compete this month as they aim for their own Championship qualifications. We can't wait to see what they accomplish in the next few weeks!
