HAPS Families, Due to covid and inclement weather, we have some days to make up at the end of the spring semester. Students will attend school May 31-June 1 to make up instructional days and Staff will be on campus May 31-June 2 to make up their days. Please plan accordingly. Familias de HAPS, debido al covid y las inclemencias del tiempo, tenemos algunos días para recuperar al final del semestre de primavera. Los estudiantes asistirán a la escuela del 31 de mayo al 1 de junio para recuperar los días de instrucción y el personal estará en el campus del 31 de mayo al 2 de junio para recuperar sus días. Por favor planifique en consecuencia.

We are now taking applications for the 2022-23 school year. You may pick one up @ the HAPS Office or they are available on line. Out of district students need to complete the School Choice Application at the Superintendent’s Office. Current students do not need to apply. COVID-19 VACCINE CLINICS - COVID-19 vaccinations for students and staff of the Hope Public Schools will be offered Wednesday, Feb. 23. The clinic will be open for HPS students ages 5 years and older who wish to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Other clinic dates for the remainder of the year are March 6; April 6 and 27; and May 18. Patients must be registered with the Bobcat Clinic and a completed registration packet is required prior to vaccination. Registration packets are available on all HPS campuses. A vaccination consent form must also be completed prior to the appointment, Call 870-722-2733, option two, to schedule an appointment.

All Hope Public Schools basketball games scheduled for today have been cancelled. New schedules will be announced by HPS Athletics Director Phillip Turner.

Due to the continued threat of winter weather that will effect our area, Friday, 2/4/22 will be a non-instruction day for HAPS. We will decide when these days will be made up in the coming weeks.

Based upon forecast information from the National Weather Service and consultation with HPS administrators and the Office of Emergency Management, the Hope Public Schools will NOT conduct on campus classes tomorrow, Friday, Feb 4, 2022 Yerger Middle School, and Hope High School will hold classes virtually tomorrow. Clinton Primary, Beryl Henry Elementary and the Hope Academy of Public Service WILL NOT have class virtually or face-to-face tomorrow. School will resume IN PERSON for all campuses on Monday, February 7, 2022. Stay safe as we put student safety first.

BOBCAT CLINIC UPDATE -- The Bobcat Clinic will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3.

Bobcat Clinic will open for physical health services Thursday, Feb. 3. CABUN staff will evaluate conditions and needed closures will be announced by email. Anyone needing to reschedule an appointment should call (870) 722-2733, option 2, Thursday, February 3, after 8am.

Beryl Henry Elementary, Yerger Middle School, and Hope High School will hold classes virtually tomorrow. They have remaining Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) days. Clinton Primary and the Hope Academy of Public Service WILL NOT have classes tomorrow. Due to no fault of their own, these campuses have used all of their allotted 10 Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) Days due to COVID cases. After reviewing weather conditions and working with the Office of Emergency Management, we will update you tomorrow afternoon regarding Friday’s school schedule. This decision was made with an abundance of caution. We consulted multiple outlets and feel this is the safest and most appropriate decision at this time.

Devi do a causas ajenas a ellos, estos campus han utilizado todos los 10 Días de Método Alternativo de Instrucción (AMI, por sus siglas en inglés) asignados debido a casos de COVID. Después de revisar las condiciones climáticas y trabajar con la Oficina de Manejo de Emergencias, les informaremos mañana por la tarde sobre el horario escolar del viernes. Esta decisión se tomó con mucha cautela. Consultamos varios medios y sentimos que esta es la decisión más segura y apropiada en este momento.
