This Thursday, August 29th, HAPS 7th & 8th graders will have the opportunity to hear Alton Carter speak about his life as a foster child. His book, "The Boy Who Carried Bricks", details his journey to being the first high school & college graduate in his family.

The HPSD is aware of a social media posting that refers to a threat of
an attack on a school within the state. HPD notified the district of
an FBI General Awareness statement issued last week. While there is no
verifiable threat to any school system, the HPS district takes student
safety serious and will monitor the situation along with all federal,
state, and local law enforcement.
