✨ To celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, Ms. Gulley's first graders created their very own maracas! ✨ They learned that maracas are percussion instruments, often called “shakers.” Traditionally, they are made from dried gourds, wood, or plastic, and filled with seeds, beans, or pebbles. Students had so much fun making music while learning how maracas highlight the importance of music in Hispanic culture and community. 🎶

Immunization Reminder for All Families

Arkansas law requires all students attending Arkansas schools to be vaccinated against certain diseases unless an official exemption form is filed.

Exemptions must be renewed each school year and should be applied for during the summer, prior to the new school year. The Arkansas Department of Health can assist with exemptions. Call 870-777-2191 or visit healthy.arkansas.gov.

As of today, students may not attend school until this deficiency is corrected or an exemption form is provided. Please bring or send the appropriate documentation to your school nurse.

🌱 Science Outside! 🌱 Ms. Stewart’s first graders had a wonderful time taking science outdoors today! The class explored the plants around our school and discovered how they are alike and different — noticing things like leaf shapes, colors, and sizes. 🌿🍃 Hands-on learning makes science so exciting! 💚
