Yerger Middle School students were treated for hard work and great attendance during state testing. Hope community member Jeffrey Shaw volunteered to cook hot dogs at the end of testing week. The community support continued during field day as YMS Dean of Students Coach Jonathan Turner grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. The generous donation of hot dogs was provided by Ambrosia Lodge #224 Fulton Ark, Prince Hall Affiliated. Members of the lodge came out to support the students. YMS students also enjoyed a wonderful bounce house from Steven Turner's Bounce 4 Life.

YMS recently hosted a successful Family Magnet Night in partnership with our Instructional Facilitator, Chelsea Glass and Magnet Home-to-School Advisor, Chassidy Glenn. The top 8 student projects from the Wizard of Oz Showcase were proudly presented to parents and judges. These students read the novel, watched the film, and selected a creative project to bring their understanding to life. From artistic interpretations to hands-on builds, the projects were both imaginative and well-executed. The students' presentation skills truly shined as they confidently explained their work. It was a fantastic evening celebrating creativity, comprehension, and student voice! Thanks to Latonya Bradley, YMS Counselor; Allison Rowe, Magnet Coordinator and Mr. Bradfrod, CPS Music for judging.
