🎓 Future Leaders in Action at Beryl Henry Elementary!

At Beryl Henry Elementary, students are being challenged in new and exciting ways — and recently, one student got a firsthand look at leadership through a special Principal for a Day experience!

She stepped into the role, learned what it truly takes to lead a campus, and discovered that the job involves even more responsibility and decision-making than she expected. The experience gave her a deeper appreciation for leadership and the work that happens behind the scenes every day.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jones gained fresh perspective as well, identifying a few blind spots and embracing the excitement that comes from seeing leadership through a student’s eyes.

Opportunities like this are what make Hope Public Schools special — giving students real-world experiences that build confidence, spark curiosity, and inspire the next generation of leaders.

💫 Hope Public Schools is rocking and rolling — building future leaders every day!

Celebrate history through education
Arkansas has a powerful place in Black history, and this month, we proudly recognize leaders whose impact continues to inspire generations.

✨ Daisy Bates — civil rights leader who supported and guided the Little Rock Nine during school integration
✨ The Little Rock Nine — nine courageous students who helped change the course of education in America
✨ John H. Johnson — Arkansas-born publisher who founded Ebony and Jet magazines, shaping media and representation
✨ Al Green — legendary singer from Forrest City whose music and influence span generations

Their stories remind us that leadership, courage, creativity, and perseverance live right here in Arkansas history.

Yerger's History is American History...

Linda Chesterfield served the Arkansas General Assembly as senator from 2013 - 2024.

Prior to her stately service, this Hope native and Yerger High School alumni became the first African American to graduate from Hendrix College in 1965.
