EAST students at Yerger Middle School recently took advantage of some of the wellspring of knowledge that Hope Public Schools has to offer. HPS Director of Communications David Henderson made dynamic presentations to the EAST students. They learned exciting tips and techniques to make their digital and media presentations more professional. Thanks so much David Henderson!! You defintely are "ALL IN"!

The Yerger Middle School EAST students enjoyed visits from, Sam and Bonnie Raff, members of the Hope Quilter's Guild. Students were able to learn about different quilting designs and be encouraged to expand interests and hobbies.
After hearing of the students' project, that will allow babies born from Hempstead County to receive a baby blanket, the Quilter's Guild members were excited to step in and offer assistance. Guild members made donations to the project to help boost its success. Donations included a sewing machine, fabric, and sewing supplies. YMS EAST students are looking forward to learn more as this new friendship develops.

Yerger Middle School EAST program is holding a bottled water drive to support Hope Connexion. The students are collecting bottles of water to help provide for Hope Connexion's cooling center during the hot summer. Donations can be dropped off at YMS EAST room until May 25.

We are looking for good used children and teen books to use in a mobile library this summer. Contact Deana Gilbert or bring them by the Farmers Market on Tuesday mornings 7-11 am. Deana.gilbert@hpsdistrict.org
