Hope school teachers using their knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)! Kristi Brown says, "Teachers from HHS, YMS, and HAPS were engaged in UDL lesson design. Yesterday we were at Beryl Henry and CPS were a part of the same training."

Parents & Guardians, please make sure your contact information is updated! We have impending inclement weather forecasted and we want to make sure you are kept up-to-date with school-related scheduling changes as they happen. Contact your child's campus main office to ensure they have your current contact information.

Parents, please make sure your students are coming to school! This school year alone, just Kindergarten and First Grade have over 1200 DAYS MISSED! We understand things happen, but it is extremely important that your children are here at school! Missing school means robbing children of the foundational building blocks of their education. If you need help getting your student to school, please contact your child's campus for bus routes or other information.
The Texarkana Recreation Center is hosting the first ever Texarkana Autism Inclusion Expo. The event will be held on Saturday, January 27th from 10:00 am until noon. Lunch will be provided. Professionals from across the state will be on hand to provide information on helping your child Thrive! Please share this information with anyone who might benefit, and ask them to be in attendance. We would like to thank the Agri teachers and students at Hope High for making a new bench for our school garden. They did an outstanding job! Mr. Burg and the students in our after-school magnet club have worked diligently on our winter garden. Students will get a chance to taste test cabbage and broccoli from the garden during lunch in the cafeteria.
For the Month of January, we will be back in business on the 3rd of Jan 2024. There will be no provider Jan. 3 to Jan. 6th. We can still schedule appointments and administer shots. As always if our patients need immediate medical attention Hope Family Center can assist them their number is 870-777-8420

Before the break, HAPS Staff had fun celebrating the holiday, getting ready for the break!
Congratulations to Mayra Garcia! She recently finished her Bachelors in Liberal Studies (with a concentration in education) from Reach University. She shares that she has also "booked her Middle School Mathematics Praxis for January 2024." She hopes to enroll in the ArPEP program to finish her licensure. "I am so excited to finally reach a new milestone in my career and pray I am the best teacher for my future students," she said.
