Denny's Place, the school garden at HAPS, is flourishing!! HAPS students Valeria Castillo, Litzy Leyva, Angelique Marrufo, Jamie Prado, and Wendy Toledano entered vegetables from the garden into the Hempstead County Fair. The students won a total of 13 ribbons: five first-place, four second-place, and three third-place. Green beans from the garden won the best-of-show ribbon. A huge thank you to Jason Blake for his expertise and support in helping us master this fantastic tool. Dear parents, This letter is to inform you that our 7th grade football athletes will begin practicing after school at Yerger starting this Tuesday September 3rd at 5:30pm. Due to the lack of time that we have with our 7th graders in their 1st period class, we decided to bring them back two days a week until the season begins and then once a week for the improvement of our student athletes. 7th grade skill development is vital to building a great football program. Thank you for supporting your student and the program. Practice will last for 1 hour and 15 minutes. We are trying to get all our 7th grade athletes current athletic physical so we can have everyone at practice on Tuesday. A practice schedule, football schedule, will be provided. EAST is an amazing opportunity for your child (at every Hope Public Schools campus) to learn how to solve problems in our school and community using technology and community resources! When they are not working on projects (solving problems), they are learning new technology, helping their peers, meeting with community partners, or learning basic skills such as sending an email. We are looking forward to seeing the amazing things students (3rd grade through 12th) are doing in Hope, AR!
