🌟 Honoring One of Our Own! 🌟

We are proud to celebrate former State Senator Linda Pondexter Chesterfield, a Hope, Arkansas native, who has been announced as part of the 2025 Arkansas Black Hall of Fame induction class.

Senator Chesterfield’s legacy is one of firsts — she was the first African-American graduate of Hendrix College and went on to serve with distinction in both the Arkansas House and Senate. She has been a fierce advocate for policies that will impact our state for generations to come.

She called this honor “a singular moment” in her career, and we couldn’t agree more. Congratulations, Senator Chesterfield — your hometown of Hope is proud! 💙🐾

At Yerger Middle School, student safety is always our top priority.

Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, August 28, 2025, we’ll be adding a new tool at our entrances called OpenGate: a walk-through system designed to help us keep our campus safe and welcoming.

It’s quick, easy, and feels just like walking through a regular doorway. Staff will be on hand to make sure the process is smooth and comfortable for everyone.

We appreciate your support as we take this step to protect our kids and ensure Yerger remains a safe place to learn and grow.

The "E" in STEAM stands for engineering. At Yerger Middle School, Mr. Molloy is getting his Flight & Space class and his Robotics class to start thinking like engineers through a classic lab! Students were tasked with building the tallest tower (or bridge) possible with pasta and marshmallows. What a wonderful way to start working on their problem-solving skills!
