Project Prevent Youth Led Fact Fed Annual Conference 2023
Yerger Middle School students recently attended the Youth-Led Fact Fed Annual Conference. This year's theme was "Changing the Game," the focus was to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to help change how others think about tobacco and nicotine. Currently, 9.7% of high school students in Arkansas smoke cigarettes, more than double the national average of 4.6%. Upon completion, students can provide tobacco education and help change the social norms regarding tobacco and nicotine use in their schools and communities.
