Last year, Hope Public Schools proudly brought back the Athletic Hall of Fame, renewing a tradition that had been dormant since 1992. Now, we are ready to continue celebrating the people who have helped shape the history and legacy of Bobcat athletics.
We are asking our alumni, families, former staff, fans, and community members to help us identify deserving nominees for the next Athletic Hall of Fame class.
Nominations may be submitted in three categories:
Student-Athletes
Nominees must have demonstrated outstanding athletic performance while attending Hope High School. Achievements may include All-Conference, All-State, or equivalent recognition at the regional, state, or national level. Special consideration will be given in the modern era — 1990s to present — for All-State recognition. Student-athletes must have graduated at least five years prior to nomination, and character and conduct will also be considered.
Coaches and Administrators
Nominees should have made significant and lasting contributions to Hope Public Schools athletics through leadership, professional achievement, service to students and community, and high standards of ethical and moral conduct.
Contributors
Individuals or groups may be nominated for notable service, support, or advocacy that helped advance the success of Hope Public Schools athletics.
Last year’s returning Hall of Fame class honored C.J. Ellis, Jami Godwin, Jaidyn Simington, Ronnie Powell, D.D. Holyfield, Ricky Rhodes, Ronald Stuart, Bubba Powers, and Randy Wright. We look forward to adding more outstanding names to that legacy.

As we begin the new school year, bus routes home may have later drop-off times this week as we take extra time to ensure every student is on the correct bus before leaving campus.
The safety of our students is our top priority. Taking a few extra minutes now helps ensure every child arrives home safely and on the correct route.
Please be patient during afternoon drop-off as our drivers and campus staff work together to make sure every student is safely loaded onto the correct bus.
