Hope Public Schools is proud to announce that the Hope Public School District, and specifically Clinton Primary School, has reached a milestone in our state literacy scores! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, parents, and state literacy coordinators, Hope Public Schools is no longer required to receive state coordinated support! The implementation of state-coordinated support is largely based on the annual state testing done by 3rd and 4th graders in each district. Those scores determine what level of support is required or provided by the State Department of Education. Our students, teachers, and parents have worked tirelessly over the past several years, raising our state literacy assessment scores. We will continue to push forward and maintain the momentum toward sustained academic excellence. Join us in celebrating this wonderful achievement! Go Bobcats!!

Two of our CPS 4th graders (Ariana Delrosa and Dakota Hamilton) participated in the Hempstead County Spelling Bee. We are so proud of them! They took on the challenge and pressure of getting up in front of people and spelling difficult words. We would also like to show our appreciation for School Board Members Jimmy Courtney and Kathryn Dickinson for volunteering at the Spelling Bee. We love that you show up for kids!
