SOFTBALL NEWS AND UPDATES: 1) Softball team plays Nashville today at Nashville at 3:30pm. 2) The D-Mac tournament is this Thursday - Saturday in Hope Game: Game times will be flexible due to weather. 3) The softball team will have a one day trip to Commerce Texas on Monday to watch the University of Arkansas Lady Razorbacks play Texas A&M Commerce at 2:00 PM! The team will be leaving at 9:00 AM Monday.

ATTENTION: The soccer games for today (Thursday, March 14) have been canceled. Make updates will be announced once the games are rescheduled.

We previously published a list of the dates for the upcoming 2024-25 school year approved by the school board. Some of the dates were listed incorrectly and we have attached the corrected versions of those documents (one in English and one in Spanish) that you can view, print, etc. We apologize for any confusion the previous release may have caused. Game time for Ladycats Softball at Nashville today (Thursday, March 14) at 3:30 is confirmed. Support the Ladycats!

Reminder: the clinic will be closed for spring break from March 15th to March 22nd. Also as it turns out CABUN (the company we work with) is closed March 19th for good friday. We will resume services Monday April 1st.

Spectrum of Light presents the 5k Run/Walk for Autism Awareness! The race will take place on April 20, 2024, starting at 7:30am. Early Registration is $25 and includes a TShirt and goodie bag. Register before April 5. For more information, contact Pam Edmonson at 870-602-1124.

HopeBot 7th & 8th graders wrapped up their competition and Team Ghostface is bringing home the Arkansas Robotics State Championship Create Award! They also made the final rounds in the Teamwork Challenge and finished out the year ranked 10th out of 140+ teams! The Create Award is presented to the team whose robot design incorporates a creative engineering solution to the design challenges of the season’s game. We are so proud of both teams that competed yesterday and can’t wait to see what our FOUR 5th & 6th grade teams accomplish today!

March 6 - 9, HHS Hope BotCats led by robotics teacher and BotCats coach Mrs. Kathy Knight, participated in the FIRST Arkansas Regionals Robotics Competition in Searcy Arkansas where we earned a 14th place ranking. Those attending the competition were, Cynthia Vargas, Akane Nakma, Ramsey Beck, Karah Bowden, Anthony Rodriguez, Luisa Raeli, Trinnity Martin, Lenny Lardinois, Jan Havlicek, Alexis Juarez and Drake Mathis, Alumni & Drivers Coach Ben Knight, Lead mentor Val Knight. Team members Corina Rosenfeld and Riley Bramlett could not attend due to illness. Friday's Baseball (March 15) game vs Nashville has been moved to Nashville due to rain and they have turf.

Dr. Crossley subbed for  Ms. Lisa Vaughn at HAPS today. He says, "I enjoyed assisting Ms. Marks in the front office. Lots of smiling faces and great vibes the week before Spring Break. They did a great job of keeping me on track!"

Dr. Crossley spent time today as a SUPER SUB in the cafeteria at Beryl Henry! He says, "I’ve been BHE today. I had lunch myself. It was really good! Some of the students asked about choices. I talked to Ms. Holyfield and she had four options. They also have snack bar." Providing options for lunch is another way Hope Public Schools is ALL IN! This past weekend, Mr. McCrary took Yerger students Fernando Perez and Anthony Orosco to the FFA Greenhand Conference which was held at Camp Couchdale in Hot Springs. Mr. McCrary says, "They learned a lot about FFA and had leadership activities." The students identify personal interests and characteristics, build self-confidence through establishing healthy habits, engage in conversations of empathy to discover the importance of diversity and inclusion. They also met with agricultural industry experts and enthusiasts. #GoBobcats #ALLIN #HopeForTheFuture

This past weekend, Hope Public Schools held the 2024 Magnet Fair for students to check out all the options they have at Yerger, Beryl Henry and HAPS. Students at those schools flew drones, put on singing performances, demonstrated robotics, and more! There was a great turn out!
