Teachers from Yerger and BHE participated in an exciting summer professional development with Arkansas A+, where they explored how to integrate STEAM into their curriculum through music, art, movement, and more. This training, in partnership with our Magnet Program, sparked creativity and collaboration — and we can’t wait to see these engaging activities come to life in the classroom!
Thank you for your time, energy, and dedication — Mrs. Rowe

Yerger Middle School’s Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program, led by Matthew Molloy and Eddra Phillips, received the prestigious 2024 Distinguished Program Award from PLTW!
PLTW is a non-profit organization focused on STEAM education, offering students hands-on, project-based courses that foster critical skills like problem-solving, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication.
Through immersive, real-world challenges, students tap into their creativity and stretch their imaginations, all while gaining valuable insight into careers in engineering, medicine, robotics, and more.
By engaging in real-life scenarios and solving complex problems, Yerger students step into the shoes of professionals—like engineers and medical detectives—gaining a deeper understanding of the world around them. PLTW courses at Yerger include exciting programs such as Medical Detectives, Flight & Space, and Automation & Robotics, where students take charge of their learning and prepare for future careers in some of the most dynamic fields.
