Agri teacher Christina Smith reports: Six of the HOPE FFA ladies competed in the district Girl Power to the Maxx competition at Ledwell today.Phoniex Biddle, Lydia Martin, D'Aunna Golden, Kennedy Phillips, Isabelle Barnett, Trynnity Martin. Kennedy won 1st place in Laser. Lydia won 2nd place in laser. Trynnity won second place in CNC wood. Izzy won people's choice and will all be moving on to the State competition!
Collectively they won an assortment of prizes, $400 in cash and $500 in scholarships!

High School progress reports will be mailed out tomorrow (Thursday, February 15).

Recently, Erika Stuart, RN, Bobcat Clinic Nurse, read The Berenstain Bears Come Clean for School by Jan & Mike Berenstain to ABC Preschool students. The book teaches the students proper handwashing techniques and the benefits of washing hands and when they should wash them.
Bobcat clinic registration packets were sent home with students and can be returned to the preschool campus once they are completed.

Hosea Born shares great news for the HopeBots Robotics students: Team Ghostface consisting of Aracely Garcia, Sophia Finigan, Samuel Fellows & Johnny Paredes has qualified for the Arkansas Middle School Robotics Championship! Their performance at the Murfreesboro tournament landed them in 3rd place out of 29 teams, earning them an overall ranking of 8th out of 110+ teams in Arkansas!
HopeBot teams will continue to compete this month as they aim for their own Championship qualifications. We can't wait to see what they accomplish in the next few weeks!

On Friday, students in Payton Jones' class learned how to code with the Indy Robots. The kids had so much fun! They cannot wait to use them again.




Permission slips went out Monday for our first Guys in Ties meeting which will be held this Wednesday, February 7th, at 4pm at the High School. If your son is interested and did not receive a permission slip, have them pick one up in Mr. Burton's office


From Dr. Linda Clark: The Hope School School District is excited to announce that we plan to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. With this grant, we hope to incorporate a program after school that includes positive activities to involve a variety of students, before and after-school programs to help our students with their studies, and prepare for ACT testing , enrichment activities on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. and summer school enrichment program, as well as offering parents and other community members a chance to utilize the schools’ computers and parental engagement opportunities. We hope that we receive this grant to allow our students and community the opportunities they deserve!
